DnB NOR has no plans for Sweden acquisitions -CFO

OSLO, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Norway's biggest banking group DnB NOR (DNBNOR.OL: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) is not interested in acquiring Swedish investment bank Carnegie (CAR.ST: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) or remnants of Icelandic bank Kaupthing in Sweden, DnB's chief financial officer said.

"We've built a platform in Sweden that we're comfortable with," Chief Financial Officer Bjoern Erik Naess told Reuters on the sidelines of DnB NOR's third-quarter results presentation. "We have no plans for further aquisitions."

"Possibilities may arise later, but this is not what we want to prioritise now," he said.

Swedish media have speculated that DnB NOR could be interested in buying Carnegie.

Asked if Carnegie or Kaupthing remnants in Sweden are interesting, Naess said: "That's not on our agenda."
