REYKJAVIK - Iceland's banking system is functioning again after all but collapsing last month, Prime Minister Geir Haarde said Friday.
Haarde told reporters a group of lenders were still finalizing the details of a loan package that will include a $200-million-US Polish contribution announced earlier Friday. The government has appointed new boards of directors for banks Landsbanki, Glitni and Kaupthing, all of which the state took over last month.

REYKJAVIK - Iceland's banking system is functioning again after all but collapsing last month, Prime Minister Geir Haarde said Friday.
Haarde told reporters a group of lenders were still finalizing the details of a loan package that will include a $200-million-US Polish contribution announced earlier Friday.
